A past pupil of Holy Family Covent and Ladies’ College, Shenali’s passion for singing began when she joined the Junior Choir of Soundarie David Rodrigo and then later became a part of Soul Sounds in 2006. Shenali just completed her A/L’s, and has followed ABRSM London exams in both Piano and Singing and has studied Piano under the guidance of Sureka Amarasinghe and Ramya De Livera Perera.
In addition to music, she also loves drama and is studying Speech and Drama with Nilmini Perera. She became a part of the Workshop Players in their adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera and was a dance student of Sureka Buell.
“Singing with the choir has helped me realize that nothing is impossible and it has taught me the importance of friendship. Soul Sounds is one big happy family and that’s what makes it so special to me”.
