Aanjanee Jayasooriya

Aanjanee, a teacher by profession, joined Soul Sounds in the latter part of 2008 and has been a member since. Having qualified in both Speech & Drama and Singing, she furthered her studies in special needs education. She served as the head teacher in a school for children with Autism while continuing to teach Speech & Drama part-time.

A few years ago Aanjanee gave up her full time teaching career to take over the music department in her local church, People’s Church Assembly of God, the choir of which she has been a part of since the age of 15. Having pursued voice training under the guidance of Adele Beling Bibile, she qualified in performance exams in singing and furthers her passion for singing with Soundarie and Soul Sounds.
