A decade ago, Heshinee’s musical journey commenced with a humble yet determined spirit at the revered Soul Sounds Academy, where her melodic aspirations took flight. Prior to gracing the stage alongside the esteemed all-female ensemble, Soul Sounds, her vocal prowess found expression in the echoes of the World Choir Games held in South Africa back in 2018, and the vibrant harmonies of the Vietnam Children’s TV festival. These early endeavors laid the foundation for her profound love for music and performance, fostering a passion that would flourish and evolve over the years.
Now an integral part of the academy’s vocal department, Heshinee not only imparts her musical wisdom but is also one of the leaders of the young voices of the Soul Sounds Academy choir, who recently left an indelible mark at the Bali International Choir Festival 2023. Beyond her contributions to the academy, her roots in the world of music run deep, stemming from her earliest days as a chorister in St. Bridgets Convent choir, where her dulcet tones first found their resonance at the tender age of 8. Her journey is not just one of personal achievement but a testament to the enduring power of passion and dedication in the realm of performing arts.
Even as she delves into her inaugural year at the University of Colombo, pursuing her artistic endeavors within the esteemed Arts faculty, Heshinee remains steadfast in her commitment to the harmonious symphony of life, a testament to the magic that unfolds when passion and talent intertwine.
