Kumi’s love for stage has been eternal – be it singing, dancing or acting. As a past pupil of HFC Col 4, her involvement in choir and drama fuelled her love for the arts, always finding herself being part of numerous performances which has continued beyond school. She is grateful for all the opportunities and thrilled to have rejoined Soul Sounds after a long hiatus since being a founding member.
Once a News Anchor and presenter on MTV, Kumi currently serves as a Client Servicing Team Lead at Ogilvy Digital and has over 10 years experience in advertising and media handling leading FMCG corporates such as Hemas and Fonterra. Winning the prestigious Cannes Young Lions and being the Silver recipient at Young Spikes Singapore remain the highlight of her professional journey.
Despite her busy schedule, Kumi is a multitasker and is ever willing to get behind any project she feels passionate about and ensures her commitment to seeing it through. She is a freelance voice artist, loves to travel, meet people and infect those around her with her love for card/board games. She is often teased for knowing somebody everywhere and so explains her interest in making friends.
Outside of work and choir, Kumi is part of the Workshop Players and enjoys being part of theatre productions whenever time permits.
